Rock The Block Season Six Premieres with SLHBA Member Hamlet Homes as Official Builder!

HGTV’s highest-rated show, Rock The Block, launched its sixth season on April 14, 2025, and it’s a must-see! Filmed near Salt Lake City, Utah, this season showcases the exceptional craftsmanship of Hamlet Homes, a proud member of the Salt Lake Home Builders Association (SLHBA), selected as the official builder for all homes in the seven-episode series. With over 13.6 million viewers tuning in for season five, anticipation for season six is soaring, and Hamlet Homes, led by past SLHBA President Barry Gittleman, is bringing their expertise to a stunning new development in the Salt Lake City area.

Hamlet Homes Shines on the Block

“The thing that we are the most excited about is for everyone to see these homes to come to life,” said Tami Ostmark, Hamlet Homes’ Owner, VP of Marketing & Design. “Our whole team has been excited for this opportunity, and it has turned out to be an incredible experience that has brought our team together. We feel more than ever now that we can take on any challenge.” As an SLHBA member, Hamlet’s commitment to quality and innovation is evident in every detail of the homes, crafted to inspire viewers and potential buyers alike.

This season, Rock The Block features a dynamic mix of veteran and rookie teams. Returning stars include designer Alison Victoria (Sin City Rehab) paired with past champion Michel Smith Boyd (Luxe for Less), and home restoration expert Jonathan Knight (Farmhouse Fixer) alongside his brother and bandmate Jordan Knight (Farmhouse Fixer: Camp Revamp). Newcomers Chelsea and Cole DeBoer (Down Home Fab) and Kamohai and Tristyn Kalama (Renovation Aloha) join the competition. In a fresh twist, expert judges, including Bobby Berk (Queer Eye), will tour the finished spaces anonymously, offering feedback on design and functionality.

    Behind-the-Scenes with Hamlet Homes

Hamlet Homes received special permission from HGTV to capture exclusive behind-the-scenes footage for every episode. “We had a photographer/videographer on site the whole show. We are excited to show a peek behind the curtain. After every episode, we will launch a behind the scenes episode on our website,” said Ostmark. The full season of behind-the-scenes content, totaling over 25 minutes, is available at www.hamlethomes.com/rtb. When asked about behind-the-scenes stories, Ostmark laughed, smiled, and kindly replied, “no comment.”

    A Premiere Party with Purpose

To celebrate the season premiere, Hamlet Homes hosted a private launch party on April 14, inviting valued VIPs, lenders, vendors, and team members who brought these homes to life. The event also highlighted Hamlet’s partnership with HomeAid Utah (www.homeaidutah.org), an organization dedicated to fighting homelessness through community engagement and housing development. “Homeaid efforts have really moved us at Hamlet, and we want to do anything possible to support their mission to help Utahns realize their dreams of having their own home,” said Ostmark. “For tonight’s premier party, we invited our most valued VIP’s, lenders and vendors. We want to show our appreciation to all the great team members that helped us build these homes and our most valued partners. Most importantly, we hope to raise awareness of Homeaid’s efforts and how people can financially support their mission at our Block Party Finale May 30th & 31st.”

The premiere party laid the groundwork for Hamlet’s Block Party Finale on May 30–31, 2025, where the public can tour the four Rock The Block homes at an undisclosed Utah location. These homes, featured in the show, are even available for purchase—interested buyers can contact Hamlet’s sales office for details.

    Inside the Premiere Episode

The two-hour season premiere saw teams dive into designing the heart of their homes: the kitchen, dining, and living areas. Each team incorporated high-value elements to boost appeal for potential buyers, with Bobby Berk judging which space best balanced style and functionality. Viewers were treated to a showcase of creativity and craftsmanship, all built by Hamlet Homes under the leadership of Barry Gittleman, whose past presidency at SLHBA underscores the company’s deep industry roots.
